Project 2996: A Tribute to Kristine M. Swearson, A Victim of 9/11

Kristine M Swearson, 34

Kristine M. Swearson was killed by a terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in New York City on September 11, 2001.  She was working as a web designer for a company called ESpeed, a division of Cantor Fitzgerald, a major financial company.

Kristine was on the 103rd floor of Tower One.  Just three floors up from the impact area of Flight 11.  American Airlines Flight 11 was an en route from Boston to LA when it was hijacked by AL-Qaeda terrorists and crashed into the Tower, killing 92 people on board and hundreds of people in the tower on impact.

Friends and family say that Kristine was a fun loving person to be around and remember her as being successful, generous, and inspiring.  She was a happy soul who loved dancing and yoga.  Fortunately, late in her young life, she found her long lost father and family.  What a blessing that reunion must have been to those left behind.

Her guest book is full of tributes that began with "the world has lost", "I"ll never forget"', "I cross stitched your name", "I ran a race in your honor",etc...  She touched the lives of many in life and after.  May her memory live on in the hearts and souls of those she left behind as well as those who honor the day, 9/11.

And so the world has truly lost a beautiful soul but only for a minute as we shall all meet again soon.
God bless her and her family and friends and all whose lives have been touched by this tragedy. May the Lord watch over us all so that this never happens again and so that Kristine and the other 2995 victims will not have died in vain.

This tribute is written for the Project 2996: Remembering the Victims of 9/11.
I would like to thank CNN.Com, The Wall Street Journal, and for information and images obtained for this tribute.  A special thanks also to my friend Donna at D's Designs for the awesome graphic.
